To talk about rebirth, we have chosen to give the word to Iranweb who told the website about the Baarestan Urban Arts Festival. We could not miss something so incredible.

At the gates of Nowruz

An interesting artistic event is taking place in Tehran, a few days before Nowruz, the now imminent Persian New Year. This is the fourth edition of the Baharestan Urban Arts Festival, organized by an association that aims to beautify the streets of the Iranian capital.

Baharestan

The Baharestan festival involves different forms of urban art and is held on the eve of Nowruz, the traditional Persian New Year which coincides with the arrival of spring; the event is divided into various sections, such as “colored eggs” (one of the symbols of the festival), “the small walls of my city”, “art and environment”, “artistic installations” and “statues”.

Rebirth

Kianoosh Gharibpour is a member of the organizing committee of the event and also has the task of choosing the best works of art presented at the festival: “The event is held a few days before Nowruz” – he says – “and was welcomed both by citizens and artists. It is an important national-level event that has the merit of paving the way for young artists, so that they can show their creativity in public. The festival also has the great merit of improving citizens’ visual literacy. “
